Since the late 1970s, Iqbal and Farooq Memon have been managing and evolving Gujarat Handicrafts – an enterprise dedicated to preserving history and heritage by restoring and repurposing traditional crafts. Mohammad, the third-generation entrepreneur in the family, is now taking the business to the next level by establishing a strong digital presence and connecting with others who share a passion for conserving ancient art and furniture. Presenting an inspiring tale of passion and perseverance, of struggle and success...!

Within the fort walls of Ahmedabad lies a unique establishment dedicated to preserving historical artifacts worldwide. The journey started in 1978 as Gujarat Handicrafts, with the vision to restore the lost glory of crafts. Now in its third generation, this family tradition has carved out a niche for itself by not only conserving unique items found in junkyards but also reviving styles that have slowly faded away over time.

Gujarat Handicrafts houses a diverse collection of antiques. On the ground floor, one can find a recreation of furniture styles ranging from Art Deco to contemporary designs. This area also showcases various brackets, frames, mirror frames, and cupboard panels. Additionally, there is a section dedicated to old vessels, accessories, and paintings.

The first floor offers a variety of vintage furniture, primarily from the Art Deco period. The layout includes alleys created with doors categorized by region. One row is entirely devoted to a range of doors from Gujarat, while another mixes doors from Haryana, Punjab, and other northern regions of India.
