Baroda-based Rekha Rodwittiya is a dominant force on the contemporary Indian art scene. Widely known for her allegorical paintings and surreal painting style, Rodwittiya studied at the Baroda School at a time when powerful artists like Bhupen Khakkar, Gulam Mohammad Shaikh, and Jyoti Bhatt were in their prime. Learning from these gurus and endowed with her own unique sensibilities, Rodwittiya eventually established her own signature style.
