Expectations are high, as one steps into the impressive mansion-like home in Jalandhar of an iconic cricketer married to a talented actress. “It is a place built with love,” declares Harbhajan right at the beginning of the chat. "Homes are made of people with those vibes, with those feels, with that love, that affection, and with the family. We love it, and feel peaceful when we come home. It feels like yes, this is our place.”
Crafted with lots of love and personal attention by Harbhajan and Geeta collaboratively, the home looks warm and welcoming, while also being a grand and imposing three-storey structure. Painted fully white on the outside, the interior too is gracious and elegant – much like the couple themselves. On designing this exquisite home with Harbhajan, Geeta says “It's truly a collaborative effort. A lot of things are him; a lot of things are me, and a lot of things are both of us.”
Spanning across three floors, the bungalow done up in a neutral colour palette with warm overtones of beiges, browns and greys - contains all amenities and luxuries of urban living that one can possibly have! “The more neutral, the better, the more elegant it looks. We are the architects; we are the interior designers. We’ve done everything,” Geeta further elaborates on the design choices and styling.
