When a Lucknow-based businessman approached Pragesh Khanna, Chief Architect of Vastu Srajan, with a deteriorating building and a plan to introduce his son to the hospitality industry, the transformation that followed was remarkable. Co-founded by architects Vipuja and Krushnakant Parmar, UA Lab (Urban Architecture Collaborative) is an Ahmedabad-based multidisciplinary design studio, offering design consultancy in architecture, landscaping, and interior design. With a design process focused on the basic parameters of scale, proportions, daylight, ventilation and climatic comfort in the built environment, their design ideology aims to facilitate a synchronisation between innovation, humane spaces, and ambitious aspirations. In this 9,500 sq.ft. bungalow for a family on a massive plot, the designers have created a house that satisfies the clients’ specific needs and expectations.
