ORI – Folded Dreams, very obviously derived from ‘origami’, the Japanese art of paper folding – is the brand name of the collaborative enterprise between engineers-turned designers Dipen Gada and Manish Maheshwari. A blend of art and engineering, of aesthetic appeal and robust manufacturing processes sees the Baroda-based duo craft beautiful, nature-inspired artefacts and accessories, with a focus on lighting products.

Vishal Chordia – the spiritually-inclined dynamic entrepreneur who believes in transformational ideas took the reins of the family’s small regional brand of spices and pickled foods and made it a premium global brand. A proud Indian, an active hands-on investor and mentor to many, Vishal needed a home that was modern yet rooted in Indian spiritualism. A prime specimen of 18th-century Rajasthani architecture, the Kaladwas Lal Haveli was built by and has been lovingly maintained by the Chawra family of Varsoda. The haveli was restored by a team of heritage experts and skilled artisans who ensured that every detail, from structural reinforcements to intricate carvings, stayed true to the haveli’s original character. Parakram Singh Chawra, the present-day custodian of the haveli, has steered it to offer visitors an immersive experience of authentic Mewari culture and hospitality.

An architect and digital artist with a growing reputation, Manas Bhatia’s journey reflects a seamless intersection of nature, technology, and design. Now pursuing advanced studies in computational design at Columbia University’s Graduate School for Architecture, Preservation and Planning (GSAPP), Bhatia’s core interest in nature inspired technological innovations sees him explore the fascinating and new reality we now live in – generative AI. Bhatia's projects demonstrate how design can transcend the conventional boundaries of aesthetics, function, and context to engage with the world in new and unexpected ways.
